authentic relationships

Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul… – Acts 4:32 ESV

Technology and social media have fundamentally redefined what it means for us to relate to one another, which has resulted in a world where people are more connected than ever before but starved for real connection. The kind of relationships we were designed for just can’t be found on Facebook and Instagram. The authentic relationships we all crave can only be found in gospel-centered community with others. Getting more likes and follows is simply not the same as belonging to a group of people who know your name and walk beside you through seasons of doubt or fear, struggles with sin, and the general messiness of everyday life as you all follow Jesus together.

At Harvestfield Church, we aim to intentionally develop authentic relationships with everyone who walks through our doors. From welcoming you at the entrance to inviting you into a Home Group, we want you to know you belong at HFC.

authentic gospel

…but we preach Christ crucified. – 1 Corinthians 1:23 ESV

We live in a world where counterfeit gospels are peddled by smiling televangelists looking to grow their net worth and cool megachurches looking to gain popularity. But a faithful reading of the Bible reveals that the true gospel is not about prospering financially, experiencing health and physical healing, improving yourself and overcoming your problems, or merely becoming a good and moral person. The authentic gospel is about Jesus Christ crucified for sinners. This is the only gospel that has the power to open the eyes of the lost so that, by God’s sovereign grace, they might see themselves as sinners condemned under the righteous judgment of a holy God and see Christ as the Savior they so desperately need.

At Harvestfield Church, we strive to faithfully proclaim the authentic gospel in all that we do. That’s why the first thing you’ll see when you pull into the parking lot at HFC is a simple banner boldly declaring, “We preach Christ crucified.”

hfc’s four big things

Harvestfield Church recently celebrated 20 years of ministry to Rainbow City and the Greater Gadsden Area of Etowah County, and we continue to strive toward faithfully preaching and singing the gospel in a way that prioritizes a high view of the sovereignty of God and the supreme value of Jesus Christ. HFC exists to extend the glory of God by making disciples through the transforming power of the authentic gospel in the context of authentic relationships expressed through four big things:

We gather together every Sunday morning and Wednesday night to worship Christ through the singing and preaching of the gospel. (Acts 2:461 Cor. 12:14Heb. 10:25)

We hope you and your family will join us at HFC for our next Large Group gathering! Worship begins at 10:30am on Sundays and 6:00pm on Wednesdays. Our services last about an hour, and childcare is provided at each gathering. Plan to arrive a little early to give yourself time to check in your kids, meet a few people, and grab some coffee in The Blend. We’re already expecting you, and our Host Team is ready to welcome you and show you around.

Be our guest at Harvestfield Church this week!

We scatter into homes throughout the week to grow in deep community with one another. (Acts 5:42, 12:12, 16:40, 28:30; Rom. 16:5; 1 Cor. 16:15, 16:19; Col. 4:15; Philem. 1-2)

Home Groups are the relational heart of HFC! Each group follows a very simple structure and functions with four main objectives in mind: connect people with other believers, disciple group members toward spiritual maturity, serve others in the name of Jesus, and send group members out to start a new Home Group every 1-2 years, multiplying reach and effectiveness as disciples make disciples. The goal is authentic relationships centered around the authentic gospel.

We mobilize and equip the people of Christ to deliver the gospel to their neighbors across the street and around the world. (Matt. 28:18-20Acts 1:8ff)

There are many ways you can get on mission with HFC! We have several missions partners both locally and globally that each offer a number of opportunities to build Christ’s kingdom by prayinggiving, and going. Our members are encouraged to make disciples not only within the church walls by serving on a ministry team but also outside the church walls by getting involved in local missions and by supporting or going on domestic/international “Kingdom Journeys” as opportunities arise.

Get on mission alongside Harvestfield Church!

We send Christ-followers out from among us to plant doctrinally sound churches in the communities that need them most. (Acts 11-18Eph. 4:11Phil. 2:251 Thess. 3:2)

We believe that churches should plant churches! We pray earnestly that the Lord would raise up bold men within HFC who are passionate about discipleship, fellowship, and sound doctrine that He might “send out workers into his harvest field” (Matthew 9:37-38 NIV).
